Day 2 West Newton to Ohiopyle PA

Started riding this morning at a rather chilly 55 degrees. The GAP Trail is covered by a tree canopy so it didn’t exactly warm up for awhile.

The trail is crushed limestone and mostly flat until about Connellsville where it begins the ascent to the continental divide.  Your favorite rider outside of town.

The mighty Youghiogheny River moves from a glassy surface to rapids the closer I get to Ohiopyle, the white water rafting center. The view from the bridge.

Meet the new recruit for the Biyakers

Leisure Biyakers tend to be wooden headed. Great report.
