Krabi Town Thailand

Krabi Waterfront
Krabi Town, Thailand is a city of 52,000 people, on the west coast of Southern Thailand near the Phang Nga Bay where you will find many of the famous islands.

The city is renown for seafood, including crabs.  These guys dig crabs so much they have a statue on the main promenade.

I am going to recommend the same to OC when I get home.

The Thai people have a real smart approach to home security

You build a Spirit House outside of your house or really anywhere,

So the spirits have somewhere to live, not with you.

Genius.

Need one of these in the Bayspot Condo parking lot.

The food here is incredible. Starting with breakfast at an upscale coffee shop, I had mango crepes and an orange coffee tonic.

I never heard of a coffee tonic before, but I think I am addicted.

 Third one this week.

The guy tells me, “Stir it.”

Good advice, the acid in the coffee is blends  with the tangy quinine in the tonic  and the sweetness of the orange.

I also added Chang beer to my repertoire. More of an afternoon thing.

Going to the islands tomorrow....

Very nice, I think I’ve seen pics of those islands in the background of the one pic that have those very tall “hills” or rock outcroppings. Glad you are having a great trip with Catherine. How’s your ankle holding up, all that walking or stamina training in OC working for you? As for that spirit house in the parking lot, I thought you were going to say that all the loud and rowdy drunks that stay here, full of “spirits”, can stay in there and not bother everyone else, we can keep it on the extra spot by he dumpsters!! Continue yo have a great trip!

Anne, we stayed there 5 days. Kraibi is a great choice. We found a long tail boat guide who took us from Kraibi waterfront to a cave, then to his village on the river for lunch. Will send you his photo on WhatsApp.We also took a taxi to temples in caves on a hilltop outside of Kraibi.
